Secrets of success

"When you want to succeed as bad as you want to breathe then you will be successful" - Eric Thomas

In this post I'm going to share 10 of my favourite quotes that inspire my as an aspiring entrepreneur. I think these quotes are excellent things to always keep in your mind when chasing success.

1."Vision without execution is just hallucination." - Henry Ford

2. "Anticipate the difficult by managing the easy" - Lao Tzu

3. "Genius is eternal patience." - Michelangelo

4. "I have not failed. I've just found 10,000 ways that don't work." - Thomas A. Edison

5. "I am thankful to all those people who said NO to me. It's because of them I did it" - Albert Einstein

6. "Just keep swimming" - Dory (finding nemo 2002)

7. "All work and no play, keeps me up a level" - Lorde

8. "Nothing will work unless you do." - Maya Angelou

9. "The more you are in business, the more humbled by it you become." - Meryl Streep

10. "People refuse to take chances in business, because they fear the critism which may follow if they fail" - Napoleon Hill

Now, I love all of these ideas but my particular favourites are numbers 1, 8, 3, 4 and 10.

I like numbers 1 and 8 because they go with the idea that you will only get as much as you put in. Much like athletes, musicians and dancers have to practice to real their goal, entrepreneurs must put in the amount of time and effort needed to reach or surpass their goals. They really give a strong message about working for what you want to achieve. Invention and innovation is the easy part when it comes to this business, people don't realise you have to work on many different things for example, you have to worry about managing the company while making sure you are in the green profit wise. Lastly I love the idea of working hard for a final product or result that you are proud of. Most call this the "Pay-off", when you start to see all your hard work pay you back with success.

Numbers 3, 4 and 10 are great ideas to have in mind especially for a young entrepreneur who is fairly new to the business side of things. You must lose before you win and understand you are going to have to give money to make money in this type of work. You have to learn how to take educated risks and rely on chance, but most will likely quit after 1,2, or three times failing with a business endeavour. Understand if you want to reach true success, failure must be your friend. You have to take your failures and change your overall plan so it is somehow different but with a higher chance to succeed. Or you can go back to the drawing board with something entirely new. The choice is yours, just never give up too easily. Persistence and patience are essential characteristics of a successful entrepreneur.
